Spring- Concert Preview and Poetry Reading

Ann and fellow music major, Nicholas Cardelia, presented Nicholas' new composition On Writing, poetry by Adrienne Su on April 2 at 5 pm at Whistlestop Bookstore in Carlisle, PA. Adrienne Su hosted a poetry reading and book signing of her latest poetry collection Living Quarters. This event highlighted the collaborative process that takes place at Dickinson College between its students and professors. The presentation discussed the collaborative process of creating a new piece of vocal music from the poet's, composer's, and performer's relative perspectives. 

This was a fabulous learning experience about how to promote one's self professionally. There was a lovely turn-out of both students and people from the Carlisle community who came to learn about the collaborative process within the music and literary world. I hope to have many more successful presentations like this one.
