Ann Fogler takes on the delightful double role of the Squirrel and the Teacup in Bel Cantanti Opera’s presentation of a full evening double bill of one-act operas by Maurice Ravel: the magical L’Enfant et les Sortilèges and the witty, Spanish-flavored L’Heure Espagnole. This special production celebrates the composer’s 150th birthday with two contrasting works—one a fantastical journey of a mischievous child encountering talking animals and enchanted objects, the other a sparkling comedy of love and clockwork set in a Spanish clockmaker’s shop.
